Government funded childcare
As of April 2024, eligible working parents of two-year-olds can access 15 hours of childcare support. By September 2025, most working families with children between nine months and five years old will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support.
The changes are being introduced gradually to ensure that providers can meet the needs of more families. This means:
- From September 2024, 15 hours of childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents of children from nine months to three years old.
- From September 2025, eligible working parents of children from nine months to school age will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare a week

Like the existing offer, depending on your provider, these hours can be used over 38 weeks of the year (during school term time), or up to 52 weeks, if you use fewer than your total hours per week.

Settling-In
After your child has been offered a place at Domino, we will contact you to book a home visit, this will be arranged at a time suited to you in your home. During the visit will shall arrange further settling in sessions for your child and introduce you and your child to their key person.
They will go through your child’s ‘All about me’ documentation that will be placed in the front of your child’s learning journey.
The ‘All about me’ has a series of questions tailored to develop an excellent understanding of your child’s needs. This helps the settling process for you and your child as we promote a professional relationship between you, your child and their key person.
During the first visits to the Pre-school we advise to stay with your child as long as it is needed to feel secure and confident.
